Monika is an attorney-at-law, having graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Silesia and the British Law Centre (diploma in English and EU law). She specialises in commercial law, building law, administration law and real estate law. She advises Clients on Polish and international construction and real estate projects at all the investment performance stages - from the legal due diligence, through the purchase of land and construction, to the final settlement of the project. She has many years’ experience in providing legal advisory on commercialisation of real estate, legal advisory on and negotiation of purchasing real estate, preparing and negotiating project management contracts with the general contractor and design work contracts. She advised on establishing a model of financing a building investment involving special purpose vehicles, and on preparing and negotiating a joint-venture agreement of the partners. She carried out legal due diligence of real estate, comprising the determination and assessment of legal risks connected with legal defects in the real estate, as well as the preparation of recommendations how to eliminate or mitigate such risks. She advised a foreign investor on the principles of locating, constructing and operating wind farms in Poland. She represented Clients in proceedings concerning real estate before public administration authorities, administrative and common courts.
